Hello, I am Aida
I am an attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist based in Highbury, North London. I work with adults who are feeling stuck , struggling after a loss , navigating grief, or trying to understand recurring emotional patterns.
My approach is grounded in attachment theory. This means we explore how early relationships have shaped the way you connect with others, respond to conflict, experience closeness, or cope with separation. Together, we make sense of these patterns at a pace that feels safe and thoughtful.
I work long-term and in depth, offering a consistent and non-judgemental space where difficult experiences, including shame, emotional neglect, or abuse, can be spoken about without fear of criticism or dismissal.
Alongside my private practice, I work within the NHS as a pre- and post-natal psychotherapist , supporting parents and babies, and I regularly work with fathers navigating identity, responsibility, and change. I also bring a multicultural perspective to my work and offer therapy in English, French.
I offer sessions in Highbury and online.
I graduated from the Bowlby Centre - a UKCP-accredited training provider - as an attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist in training. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
I work especially well with individuals who: Come from multicultural or multilingual backgrounds Are navigating trauma — mild, complex, or anywhere in between Feel lost, stuck, or ready to redefine their direction Want to explore or improve personal or workplace relationships Are going through major life or career transitions Are wrestling with questions around identity, belonging, or purpose
