Men’s Counselling Service launched in 2025 as the UK’s first counselling directory specifically focusing on support men. We are therapist founded, and we built the service we’d have wanted when we looked for credible support that spoke to men.

Men’s Counselling Service now hosts hundreds of qualified counsellors across the UK, all of whom are passionate about men’s mental health and genuinely understand men.

We make it as easy as possible for any man to take that first step, on his own terms. We strive to remove the clinical distance, lower the barrier to access, and empower men to decide.

Men's Counselling Service connects men with qualified, registered counsellors across the UK, and aims to make the process as simple as possible. You can find a therapist by issue (such as anxiety, anger, or addiction), therapy type, location, or online availability. You can also filter for therapists offering a free introductory session.

Once you find a therapist or counsellor who feels like the right fit, you can reach out to them directly through their profile. There's no sign-up, no booking fee, and no commitment. Men’s Counselling Service does not store your data, what you send to your therapist remains confidential and private.

It’s completely free to use our site and to contact therapists or counsellors. Men’s Counselling Service practitioners set their own prices for sessions, and they handle the payments. You can search our therapist directory by price and find a therapist who fits your budget.

Our men’s therapists are from across the UK who are here because they are passionate about working with men. Beyond that, they come from a diverse range of backgrounds, practice areas, and life experiences.

We believe firmly in empowering men to find a therapist or counsellor they can build a great relationship with, rather than matching them via an algorithm, and each counsellor’s profile, which gives an insight into their qualifications, style, and areas of expertise. Each therapist is a member of a recognised UK professional body, such as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and others. This ensures they meet established standards for training, ethical practice, and ongoing professional development.
