I'm Alison an integrative counsellor based in Calverley offering in-person, online, and walk-and-talk therapy for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, bereavement, neurodiversity or loneliness.
Having had counselling for a bereavement I know first hand how valuable it can be.
This led me from a career in education to re-training as a counsellor and I now support adults in a quiet, non-judgmental space where confidentiality is maintained.
My approach is a relational one where by being compassionate, warm and showing humanity, together we will work towards understanding your challenges, uncover strengths and move towards your desired goal.
I have also lived and worked in multicultural areas therefore being able to provide empathy to people of all ages, and cultures.
I also offer walk-and-talk therapy sessions, walking side by side in nature as this can be more comfortable than sitting in a traditional counselling setting.
If you’re wondering what counselling outdoors could do for your mind and mood, I’d be delighted to walk and talk with you.
If you feel we may be a good fit, I offer a free 20-minute chat so you can get a sense of how I work.
As an ethical counsellor, I am committed to being the best I can be and I will always try to give plenty of notice of any holidays or sessions I am unable to attend. I
