Many men come to therapy after thinking about it privately, or struggling, for a long time. Often they feel they should be able to cope on their own, or they wait until something reaches a tipping point such as overwhelm or relationship difficulty.

I work with men who want a space that feels grounded and human rather than clinical or performative. My approach is person-centred and collaborative. Therapy is something we explore together, not a process where I tell you what to do. Alongside my counselling training, I have worked with men through workshops and group spaces in and around Glastonbury. Through this work, I saw how traditional talking formats don’t always work for men, and how self-consciousness or comparison can get in the way of being open. I have also seen how transformative it can be when men give each other permission to slow down and speak honestly.

This experience shapes how I work today. Many men respond well to walk-and-talk and outdoor sessions, which can feel more natural and less pressured than sitting face-to-face, and others respond well to online sessions, when they can be in their own familiar space. I work with issues including relationship difficulties, stress, emotional overwhelm, identity questions, and feeling disconnected. I also support neurodiverse men, drawing on experience facilitating neurodiverse spaces and working with NHS referrals. The first session can feel awkward, which is completely normal. Expressing that means we can be honest about the uncomfortable territory we are going to explore My role is to meet you where you are, build trust at your pace, and work with you to create a space where you do not always need to have the right words.

I offer walk-and-talk sessions in the Glastonbury area, as well as online therapy. A free initial consultation is available so you can decide if it feels like a good fit.

I look forward to hearing from you.
