The framework of your life has shifted and now you’re trying to figure out where you fit.
For many men, therapy isn’t because everything is falling apart. It’s because you’re exhausted from carrying rules, fear, and “right belief” you no longer recognise as your truth.
If you’ve deconstructed a faith, questioned what you were taught, or started to outgrow the version of yourself you were expected to be, it can bring a very particular kind of isolation.
You might still feel the aftershocks: guilt when you live differently, anxiety that you’re doing it “wrong,” perfectionism as self-protection, and that lingering sense that if you’re not certain, you’ll be punished. And if your family is tied to the old belief system, the struggle gets deeper, especially when you’re trying to parent from something other than rigid, fear-based authority.
I offer warm, collaborative, non-judgemental online counselling across the UK for men navigating religious trauma, deconstruction, and identity rebuild.
Our work isn’t about swapping your old rules for new ones, or fixing you like something broken. It’s about helping you untangle the patterns you learned to survive, understand what still holds power over you, and make space for the life (and relationships) you actually want.
I offer a free 20-minute intro video call so we can see if working together feels like the right fit.
I'm an integrative counsellor, which means I draw on several approaches (person-centred, psychodynamic, and CBT-informed) depending on what's most useful for you. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and am a registered member of the BACP.
More than any model, I try to offer something simple: a space where you don't have to manage anyone else's feelings about what you're going through. A non-judgemental space where you can just breathe.
Sessions are online, across the UK, and I offer a free 20-minute introductory call so you can get a feel for whether we're the right fit before committing to anything.
For a lot of men, it’s not that you can’t cope, it’s that you’re tired of performing confidence while your insides don’t match what you’re expected to believe. If you’ve deconstructed your faith, escaped rigid certainty, or lost your spiritual home, the cost can show up as guilt, anxiety, numbness, anger, and a constant worry you’ll be punished for being yourself.
I support men with counselling for religious trauma, faith deconstruction, spiritual abuse and identity rebuild. Together we untangle the fear-based conditioning, make space for your real values, and help you build healthier ways of relating - at home, in relationships, and with your children. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist.
