Counselling for Men – Counselling with Dominic

If you've found your way here, that already takes something. Whether you're not quite sure what's wrong, or you know something needs to change but aren't sure where to start — you're in the right place. I work with men on a range of issues: anxiety, low confidence and self-esteem, past experiences that still show up in the present, and a lot of things that are harder to name but no less real. A bit about how I work I've spent over 20 years working across mental health settings, including within the NHS. I say that not to impress, but to reassure you — very little phases me. Whatever you bring, I've likely sat with something similar before. I'm a person-centred therapist, which means I'm not here to tell you what to do or hand you a formula. I'm here to listen, without judgement, and to walk alongside you as we make sense of what's going on. Some men find it easier to talk when they've got something in their hands — fidget tools are always available if that helps. I'm genuinely interested in what matters to you, whether that's sport, gaming, work, or something else entirely. That's not small talk — it's how we build something real. When it comes to emotions, I go at your pace. In my experience, we always get there — but I'll never push you faster than feels right. I also try to keep things plain and straightforward. I know the clinical language so you don't have to.

This is your space — to be heard, to think, and to start feeling like yourself again.
