If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve been carrying a lot on your own for longer than you’d like to admit. Maybe you’ve been told to “man up” or “just get on with it” but deep down, you know something isn’t sitting right. Stress, anger, anxiety, pressure at work, relationship difficulties, or just that nagging feeling that you’re not good enough… it can all take its toll.
Life can feel very different after counselling. Many men I work with describe feeling lighter, clearer, and more in control. Relationships start to improve, stress feels easier to manage, and confidence begins to grow again. You may still face challenges, but you’ll have the tools and mindset to deal with them differently. Some of the shifts you might notice include:
Sleeping better and feeling less on edge
Feeling calmer and more in control of emotions
Improved relationships and communication at home and at work
Having more energy and focus for the things that matter
A greater sense of confidence and direction in life
This is where I come in. I have a real passion for supporting men- men who are tired of keeping it all bottled up, men who are ready to talk but don’t quite know how, men who want to feel more in control of their lives, emotions, and relationships.
I also have specific expertise in working with men living with low testosterone and Peyronie’s disease. These can affect confidence, relationships, and overall wellbeing in ways that aren’t often spoken about. You don’t have to face that on your own, counselling offers a private, supportive space to make sense of how these challenges impact you, and to rebuild self-worth and resilience.
Counselling doesn’t have to be about sitting in a chair pouring your heart out if that feels uncomfortable. It’s about having a space where you can drop the mask, speak freely without judgement, and figure out what’s really going on underneath the surface.
How I work
I’ll meet you where you’re at. Whether that’s anxiety, anger, stress, health issues, addiction, relationship struggles, or simply feeling stuck. You don’t have to have the “right” words, or even know exactly what the problem is. Together, we’ll make sense of it.
I offer a straightforward, down-to-earth approach, no jargon, no clichés, just honest, open conversation. My role isn’t to tell you who you should be, but to help you get clear on what you want for yourself, and how to get there.
Why men work with me
Men often come to me because:
They feel pressure to be the strong one, but inside they’re struggling
Stress and work demands are getting harder to manage
Anger or frustration is affecting their relationships
Anxiety or low mood is keeping them stuck in their heads
Health concerns such as low testosterone or Peyronie’s disease are impacting confidence and intimacy
They want healthier ways of coping than shutting down or self-medicating
If any of that resonates, counselling could be the turning point you’ve been waiting for.
Next steps
Reaching out for help doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you’re ready to do something about it. I offer sessions online, by phone, and face-to-face in East Tilbury, Thurrock, so you can choose what feels most comfortable.
If you’re ready to stop carrying it all alone and start moving forward, I’d be glad to hear from you.
