Yes. Being human can be tricky. We can all get stuck. But I believe that everything we need to get unstuck is already in us; it always has been. Unstuck from problems we can find ourselves in with our heads and our feelings, problems in relationships, work, obsessions and compulsions, in unhelpful behaviours and unhelpful ways of seeing things.
My 25 years of practice experience began through accessing a lot of different therapeutic support myself. My approach is the result of everything I've learned over this time as a client, therapist, supervisor and a tutor. These grounding principles continue to form my day to day approach to life.
I work as an integrative therapeutic counsellor. That means I draw on a wide range of approaches to help you make better sense of what's going on. You don't need to arrive with the right words or a clear idea of what's wrong. Most of us don't.
This is therapy and counselling. And a little more. Alongside our sessions, I've pulled together a set of tools and resources you can return to any time, centred online in what I call The Bulb Booth. Think of it as something to lean on between sessions.
My job is to help you understand what life has thrown at you, and explore different ways of responding to it. Read 'People's Experience' of this on my practice website. We can connect by video, phone, or outside in County Down. Get in touch for an introductory call, and we can work out together how best to get started.

Educated to honours degree level, in 2002 I began specialised practice with leading rehabilitation service of the time; Focus 12. This grounding led to work with others facing a wide range of experiences; the UK Horseracing Industry, people in homelessness, Cambridge University, and private clients.

My introduction to therapeutic counselling came in 2001, when as a client, I needed a breadth of support to better understand how my dependency to substances had simply become an ineffective attempt in managing how life felt. Introduced to a raft of proven ways in which people make better sense of life, I saw that these approaches helped anyone become unstuck from any experience.
Whatever it is that's keeping us stuck, we have a collaborative approach we can take together that embraces a range of therapeutic structures, life programmes and orators. An integrative approach; integrating whatever works best for you.
