As a therapist my aim is to provide a confidential, secure space where we can work together to help you understand and cope with your mental health. Offering therapy that caters to the needs of the individual, in a way which is as unique as you are. Therapy is not a 'one size fits all'
I'm a Humanistic therapist. This means that I work with you, your story and how you experience the world. Working integratively allows the flexibility to work in diverse ways to help you get what you want from coming to therapy.
Examples of this could be using Art, Sand tray and Miniatures, Buttons, Russian Dolls (Matryoshkas), Cards or Postcards, or a timeline of your life.
I've professional and personal experience with Neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia) and aim to provide a Neuro-inclusive environment. What I mean by this is that we can put together the adjustments you need.
If you don't know what you might need in the Therapy room (or out of it), we can work this out together.
My studio has different lighting options, seating places, textures, calming colour pallets, sensory fidgets and various artwork. I have a random wall of pictures, an organised wall of pictures and a blank wall. There are many things you can look at if your preference is not to make eye contact.
I believe that you are an expert on how you experience the world and make room for all aspects of this.
Often clients come experiencing feelings of sadness, with a sense of loneliness, low self esteem or family concerns . Whether it's issues of Low Mood, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Bereavement, Loss, Significant Life Change, Trauma or exploring Autistic or ADHD traits we can work together.
I work with individuals from 18+, from all backgrounds, welcoming discussion on all subjects.

My Studio has been designed to be a warm, comfortable, relaxing and safe space. Some adjustments can be made within the space if they are needed.
There are images of my studio on my website as well as a virtual video tour, and if preferred a visit in advance can be arranged.
Based on the first floor of the Beacon in Newcastle upon Tyne, there is a welcoming reception foyer, two elevators / lifts and stairs.
What is the difference between counselling and Psychotherapy?
Counselling is typically a short term, talking therapy that aims to help find solutions to a current issue or problem, such as a recent loss or symptoms of anxiety.
Psychotherapy is typically a longer-term process which is more in depth, working through past experiences and aiming to understand how these may link to how you live your life. This understanding allows for awareness and choice which can lead to personal growth and changes to your feelings and behaviour.
Further details can be found on my website, Facebook and Instagram pages.
I work as an Adult Psychotherapist and Adult Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.
