If you're a man who's finding it hard to cope right now, I'm here to help.
I work primarily with men who are used to managing responsibility and getting on with things, but feel frustrated, restless, or disconnected despite outwardly functioning well. Many of the men I see feel overlooked or under-recognised, struggle with stress or unhelpful habits, or sense that something needs to change but are unsure how to shift it.
You might be:
- Dealing with ongoing stress, overthinking, or anxiety that does not switch off
- Feeling flat, demotivated, or dissatisfied despite “doing fine”
- Struggling with addictions or compulsive behaviours, including around recovery
- Living with a chronic health condition or chronic pain that has affected your confidence
- Noticing patterns of impulsive or self-sabotaging behaviour
I’m Kelly, a qualified therapeutic counsellor and solution-focused hypnotherapist based in Kettering, Northamptonshire (NN15). I also offer online sessions via Zoom.
My approach is direct, practical, and focused on change. I work in a solution-focused way, using clear tools and techniques to help you understand what is happening, identify what you can influence, and move forward with greater clarity and control. Work can be short-term and targeted or longer-term, depending on what you want to address.
I aim to keep therapy grounded and useful rather than overly clinical. Not everything needs a label, and therapy does not have to be heavy to be effective.
Sessions take place in a private garden room in Kettering or online.
If this sounds like the kind of support you are looking for, you are welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial consultation.
I am an accredited professional registrant of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), The NCPS Register is recognised by the UK Government (Professional Standards Authority) and consists of counsellors who have met specified standards for registration. Membership of this register means that I am bound by their ethical framework.
I am a fully qualified and insured counsellor (this is important to know as counselling isn't regulated in the UK and so not all counsellors will hold qualifications or insurance). A copy of my counselling diploma certificate and insurance documents are available upon request and proof of registration is available on the NCPS website.
In addition to my private practice, I also teach other people to become counsellors in my training centre - Northamptonshire Centre for Counselling Studies.

*Counselling – to support your emotional wellbeing and help you find ways to adapt and move forward.

WHY ME? I live with a chronic condition myself (Fibromyalgia), so I understand — not just professionally, but personally — how it can affect your mind, emotions, and relationships.
