Have you built a life that outwardly looks successful – but it doesn’t always feel like the one you want? Perhaps you’re performing, but feeling disconnected or like you’re going through the motions. Maybe you’re productive, reliable and on paper doing fine – but inside, something doesn’t feel right. You catch yourself wondering: is this really it?

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from working with me, and you don’t need all the words for what’s wrong. Sometimes the most important work begins when things are “fine” – but not fulfilling. A free 20-minute introductory call is an easy first step, with no obligation to continue.

Who I work with

I specialise in supporting men who are facing a dilemma of some sort – sometimes a choice, sometimes feeling uncertain. Many are questioning who they’ve become, their relationships or where their life is heading – often after years spent chasing success in high-pressure careers like tech, finance, law and the creative industries. Some feel ashamed of relying on things like porn or alcohol as ways of coping. They come from all backgrounds and professions: entrepreneurs, sales, tech, finance, actors, comedians, bricklayers, new fathers, and soon-to-be divorced.

How we’ll work

Therapy with me isn’t another person telling you what to do or trying to ‘fix’ you – it’s about understanding yourself more deeply. The work is in-depth, exploratory and open-ended – for men who want to understand why they feel and act as they do, including those who’ve tried shorter, structured therapy such as CBT and want to go further. We’ll look at how your choices, relationships and values have evolved, and where they might now feel at odds with who you want to be. It’s especially useful for life and career change, burnout, relationship struggles, compulsive behaviours, emotional disconnection, or the expectation to “keep it together”. Part of the work is learning to understand what you feel, not just what you think.

My clients say they value the combination of depth and practicality I bring – exploring what’s real and meaningful, with both compassion and challenge. My approach is collaborative and conversational, just two people talking in a way that feels emotionally safe as well as intellectually credible. I want to help you move from holding everything together on the surface to feeling clearer, steadier and more genuinely yourself.

Practicalities

Sessions are online or in person in Forest Hill and Clapham, with no minimum commitment. I use recurring calendar invites, MS Teams video calls and a one-click payment link to keep things simple. Send me a message or book a free 20-minute introductory call via my website: www.rethink-your-self.com

About me

I’m a UKCP and UPCA-registered existential psychotherapist with a PhD in neuroscience and a previous 20-year career in corporate leadership, so I understand the emotional cost of success from the inside. My postgraduate research focuses on how men carry anxiety and shame – particularly around identity and sexuality.
