Many of the men I work with arrive feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or quietly struggling while still getting on with life. You might be managing work, family, or relationships on the outside, but inside feeling anxious, low, disconnected, or constantly under pressure to hold it all together.
I offer a calm, grounded and confidential space where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have the right words straight away. We go at your pace, focusing on what feels most important for you.
How I work:
My approach is relational and psychotherapeutic, which means our work is shaped around you rather than a rigid technique. Together, we might:
Make sense of patterns in thoughts, emotions and behaviours that keep repeating
Explore stress, anxiety, low mood or burnout
Look at relationship difficulties, boundaries, or people-pleasing
Understand the impact of past experiences on how you cope now
Develop tools to help you feel more regulated, steady and in control
Many men find it helpful to have space to slow things down, think clearly, and speak honestly without judgement. You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong to begin.
What sessions are like:
Sessions are conversational, supportive and reflective. Sometimes we focus on understanding and insight; other times we work more practically with coping strategies and grounding techniques. The aim isn’t to ‘fix’ you, but to help you feel more like yourself again, with greater clarity, self-trust and choice.
About me:
I am a BACP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor, offering face-to-face and online sessions. I work with adult men and have a particular interest in anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, overthinking and relationship issues.
If you’re considering counselling but unsure whether it’s for you, that uncertainty is very common. Reaching out can be a solid first step.
