You may be managing work, relationships, and daily responsibilities reasonably well, yet still feel unsettled, frustrated, or disconnected beneath the surface. Many people come to therapy not because something is falling apart, but because life feels stuck or out of alignment with who they are or who they are becoming.
I offer a depth-oriented, relational form of therapy that focuses on understanding what sits beneath symptoms such as anxiety or depression. Rather than rushing to solutions, therapy is a space to slow things down, reflect properly, and explore the patterns and pressures shaping your experience.
Sessions are a place where you do not need to perform or present a finished version of yourself. We work with what is actually happening for you, whether that is feeling low or anxious, struggling in relationships, navigating questions of identity or purpose, or sensing that something needs to shift even if you cannot yet put it into words.
I work with people from a wide range of backgrounds, including many men who arrive using familiar language like anxiety or depression, but who often discover these experiences connect to deeper questions about direction, relationships, and self-trust. My role is to support you in understanding these layers so that meaningful and lasting change becomes possible.
I tend to work longer-term, as many difficulties are interconnected and change comes from understanding how patterns develop over time. The aim of therapy is not dependence, but to help you feel clearer, more grounded, and better able to live from a sense of authority in your own life.
If you are unsure whether therapy is right for you, I offer a free initial conversation to talk things through and see whether this way of working feels like a good fit.
I have six years of training and clinical experience, and hold a BA in Integrative Counselling and a Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice. I’ve worked with adults in both short- and long-term therapy across private practice, a national charity, and a low-cost service. My work is grounded in relational and psychodynamic thinking, and I practise within ethical and professional standards, with regular supervision.
Areas I work with include:
Difficulties with closeness, intimacy or trust
Repeating patterns in relationships
Feeling stuck, conflicted, or dissatisfied
Work pressure, responsibility, and stress
Anger, irritability, or emotional numbness
Identity, purpose, and sense of self
Life transitions and midlife questions
Faith, belief systems, and meaning
Long-standing patterns that no longer feel workable
