I am happy to provide a free no obligation and confidential initial telephone consultation to explore your counselling needs, and for you to gain a sense of me and how I work, at a time that is mutually convenient.

Areas of specialism: trauma; addiction; domestic abuse; coercive & controlling relationships, sexual abuse; managing anxiety, men's mental health. I also offer consultancy around domestic abuse and advocacy for those involved with children & family services and court proceedings.

I am a mature experienced and highly motivated professional counsellor with 25+ years’ experience of working in interesting and varied health, social care, educational and secure environments, as well as private practice. I have worked in drug and alcohol services, mental health services, advocacy, nursing, domestic abuse and child & family services. I offer both short- and long-term counselling. I am person-centred psychodynamic trained but offer an integrative approach. This means that I use a variety of skills and techniques from different therapies to suit individual needs. I will work with you, to support you to seek resolution of your difficulties. We will work together to explore what is causing you difficulties and why, looking at past experiences and patterns in your life when appropriate. I will support you to explore ways of moving forward into a more sustainable, fulfilling life.

I do not judge, but value each of my clients for their uniqueness and potential.
